"Cultural, Communication, Coalesce"

The center of communication and cultural is an adaptive re-use project by WBPS to create an environment where social and cultural interaction can flourish. The design aims to reactivate the site and provide a space for the community to socialise through learning, broadening young people's knowledge, horizons and sense of belonging to the community.

As time progresses and society evolves, an individual can use many advanced and diverse media to engage in some form of communication with his/her friends, family or significant others. Society as a whole has become insensitive to each other's social consciousness and has become a mental slave to other diluted forms of communication.

There is a lack of interaction and communication between people in a unified reality.

CARVE

According to the information form the articles, of the five influencing factors underlying adaptive reuse projects, the principle of respect for conservation in terms of design applies to WBPS as it relates to the conversion or reuse of heritage buildings. The history and value of WBPS as a heritage building in its own right provides a wealth of inspiration and creativity. According to the article " without constraints design cannot happen" Constraints provide an important structure for the redesign of the building, while respect for the history and culture of the building itself is also essential. The design of the WBPSshould therefore take into account its own identity, and its uniqueness. And as a constraint, respect for the history and culture of the building itself, and consideration of sustainability in the future after design

INTERLOCK

Public space should be used as a place for art that connects communities, inspires public interaction, and communicates. Cultural and learning spaces such as museums and libraries are no longer made for the presentation of works, but for the creation of art. The most meaningful moment of a work of art is not when it is completed, but when the public participates and interacts with it. Spaces that are flexible, functionally unclear, useful or useless, can inspire artists and the public to create for a specific context and site, allowing artworks, the public and the space to become one.

OVERLAP

The rapid urbanization brings us not only material civilization heritage, but also a huge amount of wastes. The propensity of love the new and loathe the old causes many old buildings being abandoned.

The White Bay Power Station is devastated and ruined, but its rough, plain and real industrial building features happen to coincide with theattitude of cultural and art. The concept of the design derives fromthe above, it respects the simplicity and reality of industrial buildings, aiming at the future of contemporary cultural and art space

Combined with government policies, Sustainable Sydney 2030 will transformthe way residents live, work and play. It is a vision for the city to help make it green, global and connected by 2030.

It will be recognised internationally as a leader for its outstanding environmental performance and the new green industries that drive economic growth. Carbon emissions will be reduced and the green infrastructure network will reduce energy, water and wastewater demand.

Sydney will continue to be Australia's global city and international gateway, with world-renowned tourist attractions and continued investment in cultural infrastructure. Support social, cultural and recreational facilities to attract and retain talent. Embrace innovation and new technologies to stimulate creativity and collaboration.

Relative equality will be improved through increased affordable housing and local access to better community facilities, programs and services. Cultural vitality will result from high levels of participation in artistic expression, performance, events and festivals.
