As visitors enter the WBPS interior through the main entry, the first thing they can see is the performance space - stairs of the theatre. It provides seating for visitors to the show and also serves as the main staircase connecting the second floor. It can also be used as a display platform when there are no performances.
Also, it gives visitors an aural understanding of the building through the function of performance and lecture.

Theatre stair.
The white staircase serves as the main transportation hub for the entire building, and the angular aesthetic of the exterior surface continues within the entry space, which contains walls with sloped openings intersecting with sloped ceilings.
A glazed roof section above the lobby allows daylight to filter inside through angled louvres. A concrete staircase that ascends to the first floor incorporates stepped seating along one side so the space can be used to host talks or events. Allow visitors to learn about the building by listening to lectures and performances. Experience the space through listening.
